Head of accounting
Since November 2020, I have been in charge of the financial statements of the subgroup of ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG. In my current position, I am responsible for the sub-group financial statements and the separate financial statements of the 22 subsidiaries. In addition to my leadership role, I support projects to improve sustainability reporting according to NaDiVeg using the GRI standards, to implement the EU taxonomy and CSRD. Prior to that, I worked in auditing at EY for six years. In 2014 I completed my Master’s degree in Law and Economics. Before that, I completed my bachelor’s degree in law and economics. I am currently attending the course “Certified Sustainability Reporting Specialist” at the Controller Institute.

Andreas Bayerle, age 56, joined Helvetia Versicherungen AG in 2016 as CFO & Head of Life Insurance. He holds a business degree from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. Right after finishing INSEAD, Andreas joined McKinsey & Company, where he led numerous international projects for leading insurers and other financial institutions. In 2004, after 6 years of management consulting, Andreas started his management career in insurance by joining the unit-linked specialist Skandia Austria as CFO. Andreas is married to Dr. Michaela Bayerle-Eder, a Professor for Internal Medicine at the Vienna Medical University, and has 2 sons. When out of the office, he enjoys golfing, skiing and trekking with his family.

Having worked for many years for traditional private equity and hedge funds in Munich and London, Susanne Bregy set up Rhodanus Capital in 2012 to focus on sustainable and impact investing. She worked with impact PE/VC funds and with traditional and impact investors in order bring impact investing into the mainstream.
In 2021, she took over the position of Head of Impact Investing at PHINEO gAG. With regard to impact investing, PHINEO specializes in impact investing measurement for investors and asset manager and in impact investing advisory.

Armand Colard originally studied Ecology and Environmental Economics in Vienna and has been working in the field of Sustainable Finance for the past 18 years. Prior to founding ESG Plus, a Vienna based social business specialized on ESG-, SDG- and impact measurement tools for the financial sector, Mr. Colard headed the Sustainable Finance team at WWF Austria from 2005 to 2015. In 2019 ESG Plus launched a platform for private investors called CLEANVEST, where everyone can align their invested money (funds and ETFs) with personal values according to 10 criteria such as climate change, biodiversity loss, child labour, weapons, gender equality etc. In Q4-2022 ESG Plus introduced the SaaS-tool „CLEANVEST PRO“ to the public, which allows asset managers, family offices, financial planners and bank advisors access to detailed and individualized ESG-reports for more than 4.000 funds and ETFs.

Gwen Colin is Vauban IP’s ESG Director. She is in charge of overseeing the ESG methodology evolution and its alignment with Vauban IP’s long term strategy. Gwen was previously a consultant for PE and infrastructure funds looking to develop sustainable projects in Europe and Asia. She has experience managing projects on topics like impact management, climate change, and sustainable finance more broadly (including consulting on a Vauban ESG project starting in 2019). Gwen spent the majority of her career with major financial corporations. She started her career as a legal advisor, then project manager, at Credit Agricole Asset Management (now Amundi) in Paris and Luxembourg. Her involvement in sustainable finance started in 2008, where she led the product innovation and supported the distribution of a Socially Responsible Investments offering targeting Middle Eastern and South East Asian sovereign entities, institutional clients, private banks, and family offices. Gwen graduated with a Masters in Business Law and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Bretagne Occidentale in France. Stefan Donnerer is part of the Fixed Income portfolio management team at Security Kapitalanlage AG, an Austrian investment management company with a strong focus on sustainability. He earned his bachelor’s as well as his master’s degree, both in Banking and Insurance Industry, from FH Joanneum. Johannes Feist is a development finance expert, experienced with mergers & acquisitions and restructurings, and with commercial, governmental and not for profit business models. He has deep knowledge of the functions of DFIs, of MSME and rural financial services industries, and of investment fund regulations in Luxemburg, Germany and Mauritius. He obtained a PhD and Diploma (MSc) in International Economics (University of Munich). DI Dr. Thomas Friedrich, works as a senior scientist at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Institute of Hydrobiology and Aquatic Ecosystem Management specializing in fish ecology and sturgeon restoration since 2011.
He is managing or involved in several projects on fish monitoring and restoration of sturgeon stocks in the Pontian Region, both on a national level, as well as in internationally (LIFE-Sterlet, MEASURES, LIFE-Boat 4 Sturgeon). He teaches courses of fish taxonomy, fish ecology, monitoring of fish stocks and supervises bachelor and master thesis and engages in science communication and public dissemination. He is the treasurer of the World Sturgeon Conservation Society (WSCS), expert in the IUCN Sturgeon Specialist Group and Ex-Comm member of the Danube Sturgeon Task Force (DSTF).
Complementary he was an employee of a private enterprise focused on river restoration from 2008 – 2015 and organized the International Symposium on Sturgeons 8 (ISS8) in 2017 jointly with IGB-Berlin.
He is currently focused on the implementation of large- scale sturgeon conservation projects in the Danube River Basin.

Dr. Kai Goretzky
Dr. Kai Goretzky is a partner in Dentons’ Frankfurt office and part of the European Insurance Hub. He has focused on European insurance supervisory law, the IDD and insurance contract law, as well as the specific compliance issues of the insurance industry. He advises international insurers and intermediaries on entering the German insurance market as well as small and medium-sized insurers under Solvency II. Dr. Florian Hauer
Dr. Florian Hauer has been responsible for ESG since 2020 and has managed equity funds (including KEPLER Ethik Aktienfonds, KEPLER Umwelt Aktienfonds, various special funds) at KEPLER-FONDS KAG since 2010. Gernot Hauzenberger is working for the KEPLER FONDS KAG since 2019 and is a fixed income portfolio manager since 2019 with specialization on ESG investments and euro bonds. He is primarily responsible for the management of the KEPLER Ethik Mix Ausgewogen and several special funds. Franz Paul Horn is member of the sustainability team at Security Kapitalanlage AG, the investment management subsidiary of the GRAWE Group in Austria. He earned his bachelor’s in Biology as well as his masters’s degree in Ecology, both at the University of Vienna. Further he completed a BA in Mediamanagement (FH St. Pölten) and an MA in Communication Studies (University of Vienna). After working as a biologist and in nature conservation he is since 2021 strengthening the lead of Security KAG in matters of sustainability.
Mag. Thomas Kaiser, CFA
Thomas Kaiser, CFA, works in Asset Management at IQAM Invest. He has been an asset manager at IQAM Invest since 2013 and is currently, the executive in charge of asset allocation and hedging strategies as well as of alternatives. He manages mutual funds and institutional mandates. He is a CFA® Charterholder and graduated from the Vienna University of Economics and Business in 2010, where he specialised in monetary policy and finance. He started his career at IQAM Invest overseeing institutional tenders and developing tailor-made investment portfolios that are managed using a quantitative approach.
Christian Kasten is a partner at DPE Deutsche Private Equity in Munich and one of the two heads of the DPE Portfolio Management team. Mr. Kasten has been responsible for ESG measures at DPE since 2016 and also advises portfolio companies in connection with the planning and implementation of their own sustainability initiatives.

Roland has gained experience in the financial services industry over the past 25 years, both in management positions at international banks (Unicredit, Erste) and as a manager and partner in management consultancies for the financial service industry (Accenture, BMC professionals). Due to personal interest and customer demand, ESG has also come into focus in recent years. In this context, he is co-initiator of the ALIA project – after licensing by the FMA, ALIA will be Austria’s first impact bank (currently being founded). According to the motto „Let’s give money a new direction“, clean funds should be invested in clean projects with a positive impact on the environment, society and the economy. In addition, the company will leave a minimal negative environmental and social footprint.

Max Kulhanek is a senior portfolio manager with UNIQA Capital Markets GmbH, the insurer´s asset manager and part of the private equity team, responsible for managing the Group´s Private Equity portfolio. At its core, the portfolio is focused on buyout managers in developed economies with a history of sustainably responsible investment practices. Before the programme was launched, shorty before the COVID crisis set in, he was part of the Group´s Finance´s participations team and a.o. responsible for placing UNIQAs first Green Bonds. Before joining UNIQA in 2015, Max spent 10 years as an investment manager with Commenda Consulting, a boutique specialized on structuring and managing private equity portfolios of large Austrian institutional Investors, similarly focusing on US and EU based mid to large buyout managers. He holds a degree in business administration from the Viennese University of Economics and Business Administration.

Since 2021, I have been Head of Corporate Research at rfu Unternehmensberatung. In this role, I lead the research team specialising in ESG ratings of companies.
Before that, I was a Senior Sustainability Analyst (Corporates) at rfu Unternehmensberatung, responsible for sustainability analysis and ESG ratings of listed companies, with a focus on the information and communication technology, energy, healthcare, environmental services, agriculture and food sectors.

Hendrik is responsible for distribution in German-speaking Europe and is based in Hamburg, Germany. Prior to joining FIRSTavenue, Hendrik co-founded Beit Capital Advisors, a placement agent focused on real assets. Klaus Reisinger is a passionate climate protector, which is why he also studied technical chemistry / process engineering and already devoted his dissertation to renewable energies. From 2003 to 2015 he was managing director of ALLPLAN GmbH and during this time also founded the company ClimatePartner Austria. From 2018-2022 he was partner of iC consulenten Ziviltechniker GesmbH. Since the beginning of 2023 Klaus Reisinger decided to work for ClimatePartner exclusively, that enables him to protect our climate all day long. Kai is the Managing Director of Taaleri Energia Funds Management and has over 21 years of experience in the infrastructure industry. Before joining Taaleri Energia in 2016, he worked for 10 years at KPMG, both in Helsinki and in London, advising public and private sector clients on infrastructure strategy and transactions across energy, transport and social infrastructure. Kai built and led KPMG’s infrastructure business at KPMG Finland with clients ranging from utilities and infrastructure funds to state ministries and construction companies. He has executed over 2 GW of wind transactions as well as transactions in hydro power, electricity distribution and decentralised heat services.

Jürgen Schneider is the Director-General of the Directorate-General VI – Climate Action and Energy at the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology in Austria. He holds a phD in chemistry. Before joining the Ministry 2018, he was spokesman and member of the management board of the Environment Agency Austria. He lead the work on climate change and energy at the Environment Agency Austria for more than a decade. Hadley currently leads the Policy and Regulatory Frameworks team at Sustainable Energy for All; an international organization that works in partnership with the United Nations and leaders in government, the private sector, financial institutions, civil society and philanthropies to drive faster action towards the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7). She has over 12 years of experience in the energy access sector, working primarily with governments to improve enabling environments and designing national programmes to increase electricity access through off-grid and mini- grid solutions.
Hadley started her working career at the Ontario Energy Regulatory Board and electricity system operator, where she became interested in how renewable energy opportunities (and challenges) translate into the development context. Since then, she has worked at a Berlin-based consultancy designing end-user finance schemes for Solar Home Systems in Pakistan and directly with IDCOL in Bangladesh. She has also previously held a position with the EU Energy Initiative Partnership Dialogue Facility (hosted by GIZ), managing policy advisory projects in several African countries, as well as working closely with the African Union for the Africa-EU Energy Partnership.

Gabriela has many years of experience in the financial industry. At the beginning of her career in 1988 she worked nine years at Creditanstalt Bankverein where she was able to gain a wide range of experience in the securities sector, private and corporate banking, international finance and corporate finance. Subsequently, she was a stock trader at Raiffeisen Zentralbank and spent six years at Capital Invest KAG (now Amundi) as an equity fund manager Prior to joining Erste AM, she led the asset management of Wiener Privatbank SE. Gabriela is a „Certified Portfolio Manager“Manager“(CPM).

Cornelius Türk started his career in 2000 with PVM Oil Associates as an oil derivatives broker in Vienna. Thereafter, he moved to Raiffeiseen Capital Management where he served as an analyst in the Fund of Funds department. In 2006 he joined Fortis Investments / BNP Paribas in London, to head up their manager of managers and Fund of Funds research desk. After five years of self-employment he joined Caritas in 2015, where he helped to set up and develop ‚Caritas Foundation Austria‘, which became soon the most successful charitable foundation in Austria. Since 2022 Cornelius is responsible for the investment decisions of Caritas der Erzdiözese Wien.

Patrizia Ilda Valentini studdied commercial science at the University of Econimcs in Vienna and is integral systemic coach. Since 22 years she has been working for Renault, pioneer of e-mobility in Austria and Europe. As Business Development Manager for electric cars end new mobility, as well as Brand Manager MOBILIZE, she is in charge of new mobility concepts, intelligent charging solutions, circular economy and counseling of electrification of car fleets. She has been head of Austrian Mobile Power’s (www.austrianmobilepower.at) task force market development for e-mobility (www.austrianmobilepower.at), represents Renault Österreich (www.renault.at) as member in the Bundeverband eMobility Austria (www.biem.at). Since 5 years she has been member of the strategy board of the innovation laboratory act4energy (www.act4.energy) and since 2022 she is ambassador, member of the advisory counsil of the Austrian Automotive Transfomation Platform (www.aatp.at). As e-mobility excpert she has been keynote speaker and guest to podiums discussions at multiple events. She holds regularely speaches and lectures about circular economy in the automotive industry at universities and colleges for higher education. At the moment she is writing her first book, a fablestory for grown-ups, that she hopes to publish very soon.

Joachim Waltl, CFA, is a senior portfolio manager at Security Kapitalanlage AG, the investment management subsidiary of the GRAWE Group in Austria. He joined Security KAG in 2015. Joachim has a 26 years of experience in the fund management and investment banking industry. Bevor joining Security KAG, he acquired extensive experience in the management across a range of markets and investment strategies. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Michael Wancata is member of the Executive Board of the Development Bank of Austria (OeEB). Previously, Mr. Wancata has served at Austria’s export credit agency Oesterreichische Kontrollbank (OeKB) in various positions, inter alia, at the Export Acceptance Credits Department and the Export Guarantees Underwriting Department. His last position at OeKB was Deputy Head of the Project and Environmental Risk Analyses Department.
Since 2007, Mr. Wancata was intensely involved in the design and establishment of the Development Bank of Austria, which started operations in March 2008. OeEB is active in a number of developing and transition countries worldwide and has realized numerous projects with a particular focus on the renewable energy sector and the areas of microfinance and SME-financing.
Mr. Wancata is also involved in the promotion of the topic “private sector development in developing countries” in Austria, with a view to raise awareness of this topic within the Austrian development corporation.
Between 2011 and 2014 and now once again, Mr. Wancata is a member of the Board of Directors of the European Development Finance Institutions association (EDFI). He also acts as an Advisory Board member and Board of Directors member on behalf of OeEB as an investor in different private Equity Funds.
