Steffen Fuchs
Sustainability Officer
VPV Versicherungen

After a classical banking apprenticeship at Dresdner Bank in 1993 and a subsequent specialisation in securities investments, I was a securities advisor for high-end private clients. After 12 years, HSBC brought me in. Here I successfully built up and made profitable the new place for interest rates and foreign exchange at the Stuttgart location for the corporate client business. The move to HSBC’s German headquarters in Düsseldorf was inevitable. There, as COO in the Corporate Clients – Global Markets division, I improved the operational interfaces, restructured the adherence to and monitoring of compliance and supervisory requirements as well as parts of the reporting and successfully accompanied the strategic realignment of the division.

At VPV, I am the sustainability officer since 2022. Before I have been responsible for the liquid assets of around 6.5 billion euros (approx. 90% of the investments) since 2014.
